If you only knew how long I've been thinking of purchasing a hazardous location fan.... a while.... as some of you know, sometimes you gotta wait 'til your opportunities arise. So here are a couple of pics of my "NEW" fan, in operation. You bet, this fellow gets positive feedback, Thanks Bruce Lasher from Akron, Ohio, BD

This fellow even returned $3 of unused shipping. You should have seen the packaging job, fifty-four pounds, and that was just the newspapers crammed in the box.

Okay, I'm grabbing the sledge hammer and taking out a 24 by 24 section of concrete block, "Luthier's Extreme Makeover"!Dickey38736.7131712963

Bruce
That is gonna work beautifully. Just don't put a saddle on it and try to fly.

You should put some wheels on that saw horse and go for a ride.

Giddy up Bruce, I bet that thing will suck about 5000 CFM. How big is your shop? Don't want to suck all the air out of it.

Rod, I know how to get all that dust out of my shop now! I've started a few planes using the prop when the battery was dead. When you crank this baby, it sounds the same!

Those are great photos. "Keep all parts of your body AWAY from the spinning prop!"
That looks like a beast Dickey. When you're not immediately replacing all the air in your shop, you can ride that sawhorse around (with a really long extension cord).

With a generator tied in the front of my jonboat, and that fan in the back, I could have some fun! This thing will get after it. This 1/3 hp was back when a horse was really a horse.

Bruce, did you change your sig because Wilson Pickett died today, or is that just a coincidence?

That is too bad. I love his music.

Bruce I know also you are a pilot, but some wing on that thing and I bet you could fly it

Brock, yes Wilson Pickett passed today. Mustang Sally and Midnight Hour were his biggest hits. Honor where honor is due.

Stan, Can you imagine me painted pink? Well that's how I feel, all tickled pink over my New Antique fan.

My son kept bugging me about building his guitar. I finally went out and bought him one for Christmas.

Ever think about old Aaron since the fiasco?Dickey38737.416400463

Alain, not quite lifting, but scooting for sure from the slightest vibration. This thing is amazingly balanced. It is old enough to have the oil caps for lubrication. But... it is as tight shaftwise, no wobble whatsoever. I'm thinking of choking down the intake to cause it to suck less air. It's more fan than I need. Hoffman uses an 18, but I think a guy could get by with a 12 in a small booth. One thing for sure, there won't be any build up of fumes, which should make it a much safer process to spray McFaddens.

That's pretty cool Bruce. I think the same warning could apply as the one when operating heavy machinery near PTO's and such... 'Do not wear loose clothing near that thing'...

Looks like it'going to work great Bruce but wait, what am i sayin' here, i ain't no expert! Looks like it could carry up to three passengers.

I don't think the fumes stand a chance Boss!

Good luck sprayin'

Like Al Roker, "It's a toupee and small dog warning kind of day!" That thing'll blow. Glad to get you two caught up on old times. Millions of people could have sold that fan on Ebay, jus'happen'd ta be him. I sure am happy with it, turns out that Bruce also has a guitar stash needing repairs or the like.
